Get off the #6 at the South Hydepark & 55th Street to change Bus #55 (West bound), then get off #55 at 55th & Ellis (a very short ride, this time). Walk on Ellis towards South and turn left (East) on 57th, and you will see the Library. If you take South Metra, get on from the Randolph Street Station (the terminal) and get off at 57th or 59th street station, and walk 10-15 minutes to the Library.
