Please check your AAS membership status at the AAS membership portal site (<a href=\"https:\/\/members.asianstudies.org\/account\/login.aspx\">https:\/\/members.asianstudies.org\/account\/login.aspx<\/a>) and update if necessary before the CEAL membership process.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>How to check your AAS membership status, and make a CEAL membership due payment online\n<ul>\n<li>Log into the AAS membership portal site <a href=\"https:\/\/members.asianstudies.org\/account\/login.aspx\">https:\/\/members.asianstudies.org\/account\/login.aspx<\/a> with your credential information or create your account.<\/li>\n<li>It will open your AAS account page.<br \/>\nFrom the <em>Overview<\/em> tab, you can check your AAS membership status. You need your <strong>AAS number<\/strong> for the CEAL membership online application form and a check for those who make payment by personal check. You can check your payment history from the <em>Purchases<\/em> tab.<br \/>\n<strong>*For those making a payment by check, skip the following steps and proceed to Section 2. (Submit application for join\/renew your membership).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>From the top menu of the page, hover your mouse onto <em>Donate<\/em>, and click on <em>Make Sponsored Group Payments\/Donations<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <em>Council on East Asian Libraries (CEAL)<\/em> and click on <em>Donate<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow the instructions for the donation on the next page and make a payment of $32.1 (includes $2.1 as credit card service fee).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The payment confirmation from AAS<\/strong> (info[at]asianstudies.org) will be sent to your registered email address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submit application for join\/renew your membership\n<ul>\n<li>To join the CEAL first time, fill in: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/rLjCGep5qmRFitSr8\">CEAL Membership Application Form (NEW Members Only)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>To renew your membership, fill in: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/j4KLrDpBbmYjFkQw9\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">CEAL Membership Renewal Form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>After submitting the online form, forward <strong>the payment confirmation from AAS <\/strong>(<strong>received by email<\/strong> <strong>or<\/strong> you can download the pdf from <em>Recent Orders of Purchases<\/em> tab in your <strong>AAS<\/strong> account page) to the Treasurer by email (<a href=\"mailto:ericalu@upenn.edu\">ericalu@upenn.edu<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>For those making the payment by check, write a check in the amount of <strong>$30 payable to \u201cThe Association of Asian Studies, Inc\u201d with your AAS membership number in the &#8220;memo&#8221; section of the check<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThen, mail it to the address below.<br \/>\nErica Lu<br \/>\nCEAL Treasurer<br \/>\nGlobal Studies Technical Services<br \/>\nUniversity of Pennsylvania Libraries<br \/>\n3420 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-6206<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To be a CEAL member, you must be a current member of the AAS.
