The Institute is seeking a creative and collaborative public services Special Collections Librarian to coordinate, deliver, and support a range of user-focused services including:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0integrating special collections materials in teaching and learning<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0supervising onsite and remote reference and research services<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0participating in the Ricci Institute\u2019s scholarly programs<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have a passion for the interdisciplinary study of East Asian history and for providing effective, efficient, and user-centered public services, both as a reference specialist and archivist. They will have the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where consultation, communication, creativity, collaboration, and flexibility are all essential skills.\u00a0Responsibilities will evolve as the Ricci Institute environment changes.<\/p>\n<p>Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $75,150 to $93,950; salary commensurate with relevant experience.<\/p>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<p>REQUIRED:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A doctoral degree in East Asian History.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to speak Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, and some proficiency in classical Chinese.
