  • 2014
    Workshop on Chinese Rare Books
     
    Co-organized by CEAL Committee on Chinese Materials (CCM) and the National Library of China (NLC), the “Eighth National Advanced Workshop on Appraisal and Preservation of Rare Books” was held in the NLC from June 25 to July 1, 2014. This workshop provided training on preservation and appraisal of Ming, Qing, and earlier editions, manuscripts, and ancient Buddhist materials. Twenty eight librarians from 24 libraries in the United States, Canada, Britain, and Hong Kong attended the workshop.

    Luce Summer Institute - East Asian Librarianship - China Focus
     
    A three-week summer program focusing on Chinese librarianship and library management with the curriculum realized through one week of web-based distance learning and two weeks of campus classes at the University of Pittsburgh.
    A certificate will be issued to each participant upon conclusion of study.
