To all Members of CEAL:
I write to announce the upcoming CEAL election dates. The voting period will be as follows:
Start of the voting period: Friday, February 12 (12:01 a.m. PST)
End of the voting period: Tuesday, March 9 (11:59 p.m. PST)
You will be voting for four (4) members of the CEAL Executive Board by electronic ballot. The open positions are:
- Secretary (2021-2024)
- Treasurer (2021-2024)
- 2 Members-At-Large (General, 2021-2024)
As in prior years, all CEAL members will receive an e-mail with a link to the ballot. The slate of nominees is revealed through clicking on the link and accessing the ballot, starting on February 12. Election results will be announced at the CEAL Business Plenary session (March 18).
My thanks to all of those nominated who agreed to run. It is a great slate of candidates and I hope all CEAL members will take the opportunity to vote!
Special thanks go to the 2021 CEAL Election Committee (Hong Cheng, Chair, and his team) for their hard and excellent work in handling the nominations and preparing the ballots. I would like to also thank the Committee on Library Technology (Tang Li, Chair and her team), Membership Committee (Xiang Li, Chair and her team), CEAL Secretary (Yao Chen), and Treasurer (Tomoko Bialock) for their great teamwork in preparing and implementing the election!
